Claim the Sales Tax Exemption

Beginning January 1, 2023, the Kentucky Department of Revenue will only exempt a person’s “domicile” (primary residence) from sales tax on utility services, including water and sewer bills. If you have an existing residential account with us, fill out the form 51A380 (Residents) form, one for each meter at the same address. If you are a landlord with multiple residential tenants at a single-metered property, you will need to fill out form 51A381 (Landlord) and then have each tenant fill out 51A380 (Residents) form, then return them all together, to get the exemption. We have been instructed by the Kentucky Department of Revenue, this paperwork will need to be completed by all new customers. Existing customers only have to complete the forms, when they make a change to their account, have multiple tenants at a single -metered property, or have multiple meters at the same residence. This is a learning process for us as well. Please be patient. As we get updates, we will post them.Contact us if you have questions or concerns!

Water Leak? How to Read Your Meter to Check

First, turn everything off in the house that uses water. You should then be able to open the cover of the meter, open the top of the meter and look at the dial. It should no longer be turning. If it is, you  most likely have a leak. Contact us if you have questions or concerns!
